What Actually Differs
- Question wording — translated, with occasional phrasing quirks.
- Code snippets — identical in both versions (English identifiers).
- Technical terms — Chinese paper uses 編譯器, 變數, 函數 etc.
Choose the Chinese Paper If…
- Your stronger academic language is Chinese.
- You read faster in Chinese.
- You struggle with long English scenario descriptions.
Choose the English Paper If…
- You read coding documentation in English anyway.
- You plan to apply to overseas universities.
- You prefer the original wording (no translation ambiguity).
Our Recommendation
Most Hong Kong CS-bound students take the English paper for consistency with course resources. If reading English under time pressure slows you down significantly, switch to Chinese — it is no less prestigious.
